The ships are like really long
skinny hotel rooms on the water. This is totally different
than the big cruise lines. The decks on this ship all have
huge windows and patios to see the Rivers up-close.
Dining: Viking has a very
different approach to dining than other large cruise liners.
There is a breakfast buffet, lunch is served like a restaurant
with 10-20 choices each day and dinner is also served like a
restaurant but each dinner is a 5 course masterpiece. There is
a bottle of wine served with lunch and dinner at no cost.
Destinations: They
cruise rivers in Europe, Russia, Asia and Egypt.
All Viking River Cruises
allow kids but they must stay with parents 24 hours a day.
The end result of this policy is there are almost never kids
on any cruise.
